Founded in 1453, Istanbul University is among the first and longest-standing institutions in Turkey. Istanbul University is a public institution comprising: 17 Faculties, 1 Conservatory, 2 Vocational Schools, 2 Colleges and 14 Graduate Institutes. According to the EduRank in 2022, Istanbul University ranked among the first 500 universities making it the first Turkish University in the first 500. Within the University, there are 29 ongoing and 70 completed EU and other international projects.
